To be eligible for the visa, You must:
- Have a suitable skill assessment
- Be invited to apply by the state governments
- Be under 45 years of age
- Be able to score 65 points or more
- Meet competent English
- Meet the health and character requirements and
You are also required to meet state governments’ requirements.
Independent (Permanent)
(Subclass 189)
This visa lets invited workers with skills we need live and work permanently anywhere in Australia. It is a five-year permanent visa permitting the holder to travel to and enter Australia for 5 years from the date of grant.
Skilled Work Regional (Provisional)
(Subclass 491)
The Subclass 491 visa has replaced the previous Subclass 489 visa. It is a temporary visa that allows holders to live and work in a designated regional area of Australia for up to five years. You must be nominated by either an Australian state or territory government agency or an eligible relative. The visa provides a pathway to permanent residency through the Subclass 191 visa if you live and work for 3 years in regional areas.
Skilled Nominated Visa

It is a skilled migration visa offered by the Australian government. It is a state-nominated visa that allows skilled workers who are nominated by an Australian state or territory government to live and work permanently in Australia.
