This visa allows skilled workers to work for an approved sponsor for up to four years in Australia. It requires sponsorship by an Australian employer and an eligible occupation listed on the relevant skilled occupation list.

 To be eligible for the visa, applicants must:

  • Be nominated by an Australian approved employer
  • Hold of an appropriate visa·
  • Work for your nominating employer
  • Have relevant skills, qualifications and work experience
  • The occupation must be in the skills occupation list either in Short-term or Medium-term stream
  • Have worked in your nominated occupation or a related field for at least 2 years
  • Have positive skills assessment (only for certain occupations and nationalities)
  • Meet English requirement
  • Meet the health and character requirements

  • Have positive skills assessment (DE Stram)
  • Be under 45 years of age
  • Meet competent English
  • Meet the health and character requirements

  • Be nominated for one of the occupational training
  • Be in Australia
  • Have a function English
  • Have enough money to support yourself
  • Have adequate health insurance
  • Be a genuine temporary entrant
  • Meet the health and character requirements

Length of stay: up to 2 years
